Profile:
Although I've been growing daylilies for over 30 years, I joined the AHS in 1997 and officially became a "daylily addict" at that time. My garden, Ridgeview Garden, has been designated an AHS Display Garden for a number of years and will be on the Region 3 Tour in 2012. I've also been active as a garden judge and am an instructor and (in 2011) am frantically trying to complete the requirements for Sr. Exhibition judge status!

Career-wise, I was an educator, teaching music in Roanoke, Co.VA for 34 years (middle school band director) and am now very happily retired, having time to do all those things one never has time for when working! It has been fun to have the time to become more actively involved with the AHS. I currently live in Roanoke, VA (SW part of the state) with my husband Larry and our cat, Honey Bun Covington, also known as the "bionic cat" since the Veterinary School at Va. Tech completely rebuilt her after a close encounter with a car!
